In need of a wiring diagram jd 2010

I know i posted this before but been in the hospital. Jd 2010 1964 model gas will start until you release the key. I just found tractor and want to get it running. My dad had one and like father like son. Please help. Thanks guys

Typical symptom of a bad ballast resistor. Probably a white rectangular porcelain item under the dash or just before the coil.

Most likely the ballast, could be the ignition switch or a bad wire, but my guess is the ballast. Send me a email and I will send you the electrical for the 2010.

Hopefully this thread wont get high jacked....

Up to serial number 55380, the ignition resistor is part of the key switch. For a period of time, John Deere did not have the original switch as a repair part, and offered the later key switch and a resistor kit as a replacement.
From 51381, there is a resistance wire buried in the harness. Since it takes about 7 feet of resistance wire to provide the proper resistance, this wire was folded back and forth in the harness to use up the extra length. This can result in heat damage to all of the other wires in the harness.
