I need to rebuild the PTO assembly on my 1010 RS. I went to JD and got the two bearings, two seals and new e-clips. Mine no longer would hold oil but things didn't feel terribly worn. This seems really straight forward to me. Unbolt from tractor, pull or break old e-clip, PTO shaft comes out. Take out old seals/bearings, clean, and reinstall.
Seems easy, hope it is. Anyone dealt with a PTO shaft that has a lot of wear? I am keeping my fingers crossed wear is limited on it. Leaning towards putting a sleeve on the shaft if there is wear instead of spending $150 on a new shaft.
Before 42000 1010 RS, single PTO by the way.
