Mike {NE OHIO}

Mike, read your connection with Fred Latchey at Franks in Austinburg. We bought our 1945"B" from Eisners in Kellogsville Ohio, south of Conneaut. You could go there any day including Sunday to get parts. Sad that all those old Dealers are gone. Copes took over "Franks" and Fred sold all his Tractors and parts. Mostly a Lawn Tractor Dealer now. Joe from east of Pierpont.

My uncle dealt with Cope's out of Alliance. My Dad's compact 750 came from there too.
Uncle traded in a 4230 with cab , front wheel assist and frt. loader back around when 2940 came out new. Any of you over in that area ever see a tractor like that ? I doubt many were ever sold. Would like to know if it was still around.

Good to see some guys from my area. I bought my rototiller for my 855 from Cope right after Frank left. Got the 855 from Grahams over in Conneautville but they have since closed up. They had a big auction back in 2006, but I missed it. Got two Fords so I get a lot of parts and service from Bortnick's. Last time I bought JD parts I got them on line as Cope didn't have any in stock. They ordered for me and then couldn't get it so I cancelled the order and ordered on line. Like to keep the business local but sometimes you just have to do what you have to do.

I've seen your marker on the member map. I have a Ford, too but I usually get my parts from Spear's in Chardon. They don't stock much but get it in a couple of days. I got POed at Bortnick's so don't go there.
