John Deere 4430

My 4430 turns to the right fine, however, on many occasions it does not turn back to left after you make a right turn. It does not have this condition every time, but some times.
It seems like the steering locks up and the steering wheel is near impossible to turn back to the left after making a right turn.
I would appreciate any help about why this is occurring.

What year or serial number is it.

Reason to know that is there are 2 different systems used on 4430's,,my thoughts are your's is an older one...

The serial number is less than 70000, which is an earlier model as you thought.

Yes that is what I thought,, the steer valve most likely needs re-sealed and re-calibrated, I can do that for you here if you can get it out of the dash and ship it.
