Loose Fit on Operating Rod and Yoke

I have the clutch taken apart on a Model B and noticed that the holes in the yoke and operating rod where the pins go in are a little wallowed out making the entire assembly somewhat sloppy. Since I have it apart I was considering whether to drill them out and put some bushings in to tighten things up, or to just leave it alone. I do have a new bushing for the pivot bolt. The service manual just says to replace any excessively worn parts. The holes I mic'd were from 0.025 to 0.040 larger than the diameter of the pins. Was wondering what the group's thoughts are on how important it is to tighten up the fit and remove as much of the wobble as possible in the operating rod.

I have drilled the holes out enough to make them round again, then made a custom oversized pin in the lathe. Can't tell the pin from standard/original without a micrometer or earlier.

Getting the play out is key to making a better working clutch. I also drill them out and make oversized pins.

Thanks for the responses. I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I pick up a lot of good information from these forums.
