B fuel tank

Where can I go to get a new fuel tank for a late 47 gas B? I've been scouring the net today and found what I think is a source for a new tank but their numbers don't match the factory part number and there is no description with the tanks they list. It's Saturday so I can't call. Are there any used tanks left out there that a person would feel comfortable with? The tank on this B I am working with is not salvageable in any way. The bottom maybe can be fixed but too much of the top is rusted away from mouse P. The tanks I found on Ebay must be made of gold.

Weld a new top in ? You won't see it. Try an ad on here and keep checking ebay ?

I welded a new top in mine then used red kote. It is still good after about 10 years.

That must be a common problem. My B gas tank was completely covered with mouse nests and was badly rusted. A lot of the top area was like Swiss cheese. The inside of my tank was like new, so I sandblasted
the whole outside of the tank(which created more holes), bought several gas tank epoxy repair kits and covered the bad spots with the repair kits. Checked for leaks and didn't have any, so I then rinsed the
sandblast sand out of the tank and painted. Has not leaked since and I did this several years ago.
