Just bought a John Deere H1 manual lift plow. I have a part described as a Beam Bumper but don't know where it mounts. It's JD part number 26001 A. Any ideas?

I have a plow and I don't recognize that part. I have it off the tractor now I'm disabled for 6 weeks so I can't go and search.
A guy on here awhile back said he had a owners manual. That would probably help.

Attached is a picture from the H1 parts catalog

My apologies, I need to edit my reply above. Mike M is correct, it is on the RH side, the same side the plow beam comes back. My head was thinking one thing and my fingers typed another.

I cant find a photo of that part up close, but you can see it in this photo.

Thanks for the picture. It appears I am missing that part. I don't ever recall seeing it around the, plow or tractor. Grandpa must have misplaced it after he quit plowing with the H. Anybody have a good place to find a replacement?

I found out that the beam bumper prevents the plow from being slammed up into the axle housing and potentially cracking it.

I wish I had a better answer for you. I was missing that part and a couple years ago could not find one so we ended up making one. That may be your best bet...find a template and copy it. If anything, that part is really easy to make.

Thanks, Now I have 2 things I need to find for it. The bumper and I would really like to find the Operator,Owners Manual. I have the Parts book from Deere.
Thanks again for the Pic and info.

Sharps antique tractor works is currently out of stock on the beam bumpers. Don't know if they are going to make more or not. Price was $55.00. You might call them and see if and or when they well be restocking them.
