J D D oil pump gasket question

Can some one tell the thickness of the gasket on the oil pump gear cover? Took the cover off today to check wear on gears and now it is leaking. I think I read some where that it should be .0020 but can't find it now. Thanks for your help.

A week ago I was in the same dilemma only with a B oil pump gasket. I just went ahead and got a new gasket from Deere. I could have measured the thickness of the old one but I figured it would be thinner than a new one after being compressed for 70 years so I would get a false reading. I assume Deere still carries a D gasket but you never know.

I think .010 -.012" about the thickness of manila envelope if too thin pump might drag or lockup. as long as pump turns free the thinner the better. Paul
