4010 resurrection part 1

Got started on the rebuilding of the hydraulic, steering, brake, & rockshaft systems today. I started up front with a new pump & rebuilding the steering motor. The steering valve is going to be sent to Tim S. I'll be splitting it to fix the issue of the pto stub shaft coming loose. Also will be checking the trans pump, replacing o-rings on the pipes, & whatever else I find in there. It'll be getting a brake valve overhaul & all new brakes. Rock shaft valve & housing will be gone through. I rebuilt the rear couplers last year.
I've been having hydraulic systems issues with it for a while & decided to do the whole works at once & hopefully be done with that part of it.

How does a guy get the photos to not flip over when uploaded? Sorry.

Maybe a picture this time?

The trans pump will look good but replace it anyway along with the check valve under the left side pipe of the trans pump.

Looks like a big job Ken. I appreciate the picture, and Tx for turning it over. :)

I have a couple of projects but my knee popped just before Christmas and bruised the end of my femur. That put me out of commission for awhile. I hope to get started soon. I will post some pictures.

Thank you TX Jim. Do you mind telling me how you did that? I'm just good enough with computers to get myself in trouble.

Matthies, I've been hesitant to buy a new trans pump as they are $486, but I want to do this right the first time. I'll see when I get inside of the tranny.

2510 Paul, take care of yourself first, then tackle the projects. Best wishes on your recovery.
