1951 B Clutch Question

I have recently started a restoration project, and my first time working on a letter series Deere. The clutch seemed to be stuck slightly engaged. I decided to pull the whole assembly off and see what was going on.

From what I can tell, it looks like the clutch operating sleeve (as it is referred to in the manual) is stuck and not sliding. Does anyone have any advice on fixing this, and is it common? Right now it appears to be a few inches away from the gear, which I believe is in the engaged position. How is it returned in normal operation? Any help would really be appreciated!

Does it look rusty ? If so penetrating oil and a lot of soaking time will be most helpful. If it is really bad maybe just find another pulley assembly ?

It doesn't look too bad. I will try and get some pictures up tonight. I am still trying to figure out how the clutch mechanism works. I know that the operating sleeve should slide, but what other parts should be free and how should they move?

You have those three long T bolts that you took the cotter pins and nuts off of when you pulled the pressure plate off. They might be rusted in the holes they go through. Then you have the rockers on the back side that pull on those long bolts. I've never seen them stuck but then again I haven't seen much compared to the other Deere guys on here. There is a perforated bronze bushing inside the moving sleeve and it slides on bare steel or cast so it shouldn't be stuck too bad. Look it over well, It's really pretty simple once you figure it out.

I guess I'd start by taking all of it apart. Start with the T bolts then the dogs and toggles that are pinned on the backside. If it still does not move I'd pull the gear off and then try and pull the operating sleeve off.
