(If there are any other proud owners of such machines, let me know who you are).
Great machine! Similar but significantly different than their American counterparts in significantly subtle ways. (I dread when anything breaks, finding the correct replacement part can be challenging).
If I can find a current part number from the European Parts catalog, I have generally been able to find it, somewhere.

I am currently looking for a vertical muffler last known PN: AL25009 or AL25705.

Talked to RDO today, and they said they stopped manufacturing that PN in 1983. I am thinking not...

Are you referring to this Dubuque built industrial tractor ?http://www.tractordata.com/backhoe-loader/000/0/0/6-john-deere-410.html

(quoted from post at 19:38:34 01/30/17) Is that model similar to the German built 510 and 710 of the same era? Ben

Nothing.
A 410 is based on a 2020 tractor family.

1020 >300
2020 > 400
3020 > 500
4020 > 600
5020 > 700

The 310-510-710 are quite older, where only built from 1965-1967, whith the new 300 series engines build in Saran France, but the former rear end of the NewGen (Europeans) 300-500-700, which had the very bad 1010-2010 diesel motors.
Motor was so bad that for France, they introduced the 303 and 505 with a Standard 23C 4 cylinders diesel (very good motor, installed in Masseys in the late 50's), from 1963 to 1965. By then, the first 500 had already blew up. In Spain, they made the 515 with a Perkins assembled in Getafe Lanz plant.

Anyway, the 410 is much later machine and was made probably trough the 80,s with improvements.
