Help please? 3020: new plugs, new electronic ignition, new battery, new plug wires, new zenith carb and it won't start. With the old marvel carb
I was able to get it started twice with the throttle open and it ran good. It has tried once to start with the new carb, but just won't take off. It has
fire, it has gas. I must be over Looking something. It has 150 lbs compression in each cylinder. Any thoughts?? Thanks.

They were new but when I changed carbs I pulled them and they were black, so imcleaned them if fouled will cleaning fix that?

How did you clean them? I have a sparkplug blaster and have pretty good luck.

There are folks on here that say sometimes 'plugs will get deposits/carbon/moisture on them that can't be completely cleaned.

If you do have fuel and spark it would be nice to have another set to try.

I trust the new elec ignition matched your tractors polarity?????????? But you say good spark and if that's true???? must be okay. If you pull the plug wires off plugs is there a good bright visible blue spark from each wire to 1/4 inch to frame ground?? If the plus are black and carboned for no more then the cost Id just try a new set versus cleaning. If they are flat black sooty colored it may be running too rich which can foul plugs.......

Has it ever run with the new carb? I bought a new Zenith for my 3020 and the float needle was sticking. Sometimes up, sometimes down. Was hard to troubleshoot.
