I have a JD 5303 2wd with FEL and I've had to change the trans/hyd filter and clean the pickup screen 3 times in 2 years! WHAT the heck is going on??? I believe it's the wet brake system which also uses the same fluid - pickup screen gets clogged with fine black/metallic dust. Filter too, I tried just cleaning the screen once without changing the filter but no dice - filter was clogged too. Anyone else have this problem with newer JDs? Mine is a 2008 model if I remember, bought it new and didn't have to change the filter until year 6. Now twice in the last year!
Just wonder if there's a specific cause/solution.
