LA John Deere belt pulley

Can the outter end seal in a LA belt pulley assembly be replaced and if so with what. It looks to have a old cork type seal and I cannot see any way to get it out.

It sure can! I can't remember what the SK seal part number is off my head but your local auto parts store should be able to get it for you. If not I am sure the Ridenour's keep them on hand as well.

Maybe someone used cork in there so stop it from leaking? I know mine had an original leather seal in it when I took it apart. Is it an actual seal or just some cork glued in place?

Thanks guys. I didn't know about the site (johndeerel.com) but I just ordered one from them and yes hotflash you were right it was leather rather than cork.
