Gas 4020 carb icing

There's some real haters of gas 4020's on this site, but my "Ingrid" has been a pretty reliable snowblowing tractor.

Some days ago @-12?F there was a little icing at the top of the carb before she was fully warmed up, not affecting smooth running, after I blew snow for awhile and worked her the manifold was hot enough to melt that off. Didn't get an "after" photo though.

Yep, and, as I said, it did warm up and thaw after I worked her/warmed her up.

My point was that the manifold heat system works quite well on the 'ol girl.

that is a perfectly normal situation on any engine with the updraft carb to ice up in cooler temps. even in summer they will sweat. its called the ventury effect.
