I pulled the head off and the middle piston liner [number 2] appeared a wee bit higher than the others. Before I pulled the liner the young man that helps me on Saturdays spotted what appears to be a small hairline crack on the sides between both number 1 and number 3 cylinders. When I pulled the liners the hairline crack goes on down a half inch or so. The only thing I can figure out I did wrong was not have the bolts and washers to hold liners in place that J D Seller mentioned in my earlier post. Sure wish I had known that before! Anyway, can I have this block repaired and use it or do I need to start searching for another block? The machine shop I took it to before[Coranets in Somerset ,Ky] is well known for repairing blocks. I will take it there even though it is about 100 miles away. Thanks for any help/advice Lee
