John Deere w/model 48 loader

I have a JD 3010 with a model 48 attached to the front. We have been experiencing extremely cold temps, -30s this winter. My tractor does just fine as long as I keep it plugged in however, the 48 works slow, even after warming up and only lift up and down. The bucket will not tip? Fluid is slightly low but looks dirty. Any suggestions?

I think low temps will negatively impact the flow of dirty oil. I would change the oil, filter, and clean the transmission screen which is on the left side below the battery case. Given there is a fair amount of oil in the loader circuit the clean oil will dirty over a short time but might be clean enough to help with the flow issue. Now if you have bits of brake material flaking off then you have a much larger problem which will require extensive work to get to the point of no contamination in the system. For right now I would do the change and see where it takes you. The bucket not tipping could be a sign of a control valve issue but first try the oil change.

Those are real low temps, but would change fluid and filters first, might blend 50/50 regular hyguard and low viscosity hyguard.
