350 crawler -internal oil leak??

I know a guy with a JD 350 crawler here in Australia - I have never worked on one -- his oil level in the transmission keeps rising and the compartment behind keeps dropping - internal seal blown?

Thanks in advance

There are two housings. The center one is the reverser and the back one is the transmission. The reverser has cooling lines to the bottom of the radiator on the left side that are known to leak externally. Is it a 350B with power assist steering? The pump dives off the timing gears. That seal of course over fills the engine.

If it is a 350C or newer with wet steering clutches it is a common problem. Hydraulic reverser uses its oil to power the steering clutches that are inside the transmission reservoir area. Clutches leak, reverser oil disappears, and transmission gets over full.
