I see black and yellow seats and always wondered where that came from. Is there a reason or serial break for black seats? Thanks Doug

The way I hear it, seats and backs were black until the "black dash" tractors. Being the '58 model year. After that I guess it is personal preference.

Old popper is correct. No 70's had black seats originally. You can certainly put on a yellow one. The black ones are hot in the summer sun!

All seats on the first numbered series were originally black. Yellow seats did not arrive until the 20 series tractors were introduced for the 1957 model year when either black or yellow were a no-cost option. Mike
