2240 flasher relay

Hi, I work on my FIL tractor for him on ocation. He is a large animal Doc, good at fixing critters but not so much on machines. I was getting all the fender lights working for him. After I did and was happy to show him the switch worked correctly at each position. The switch always worked so I only messed with the wireing harness from the rear axle to the fenders. Then he asked do the lashes work? I didn't even know it had flashers.

So first question is what is a good site for parts schematic online? And second Where is flasher relay? ( I am guessing behind the steering column sheet metal)

I won't be heading to his farm for a couple weeks but want to have things ready and a good idea where I need to dig.

Thanks guys

I had quite a time locating flasher relay on my MF, until I went on line and found a picture of it. Was pretty inconspicuous. Then under the dash, and I went Ah-HAH there it is. Easy.

There are two flashers and two relays.
One relay is for the starter. Both relays
are on the right in the battery compartment
(dash area).
The flasher on the left of the dash is for
the flashing lights. The other flasher is
for the parking brake warning light.
The original relays are metal (little square
boxes with a mounting tab). They are now plastic.

At my FILs today and able to work on the tractor.

Side dash/battery box was removed easily, just five bolts. The flasher relay was easily accessed. I replaced with a relay from napa. Seemed to be working great now.

Thanks again for the help
