In a local sale paper today. "Barn find", 4400 hrs., original paint, with #9 3-pt mower. $12K, is that a reasonable price or someone trying to flip it? Not interested myself, just curious.

Depends on condition, but that is on the high end.

Neighbor got $9,000 out of his couple years ago. It ran but was not restored.

Take a look but today's tractor prices are less than half of 1990 prices.

The last 435 I bought I paid $3500.00,
and drove it the 5 miles to home, in 2010.
Like new tires, needed cleaning & paint.

There's one coming up at an auction this Saturday (it's near Canton Mike).
Not restored but looks like it's in decent shape. I'd like to scoop it up. I have a 440ICD so they'd make a cool pair.

For those curious in the future, the one I was hoping to get went for $5,900. I did not buy it. It looked to be all original, had fenders, spin out rims, power steering, no float ride seat or remote hydraulics. Tractor was in excellent shape for all original, still had the dealer sticker from where it was bought.
