Lubrication

I am rebuilding a John Deere B (1938) how does the oil get to the cam, Governor, and the tube that drips to the tappets? Thanks
 
There are tubing coming from the oil filter head. If you download a copy of the Parts catalog it has an exploded view.

Should be an oil line going up to the gov. housing. Then there should be an oil spurt hole (IIRC) where some of it gets sprayed onto the gears. These get plugged up. Then the gears throw some off into a trough in the housing that feeds the tube that goes to the tappets.
