Picking up a 2009 5055e tomorrow and already have a Meyer diamond plow that I want to put on the front just looking for ideas! Thanks

You will find a front mounted snow plow will push the front end over very fast if you push with much of an angle.

It's never been a problem for me before on a 2wd lighter tractor

Here is a Meyers mounted on a 5055, but now on a 5065.

(quoted from post at 05:34:53 01/11/17) I'd sure recommend MFWD.

The new one is :)

Also has mid mount hydraulics and joystick (no loader) that I'm going to use for my up and down/ angle cylinders

I plowed for a couple of years for a guy who had at least 10 MFWD tractors with plows on the front. I ran a 7210 Deere with a 14' Wassau. He did have some smaller tractors too, 5105M, 5625, and a 5425. Blades were all mounted the same way. Channel coming down on both sides of the frame rails just forward of the cab at an angle, and channel coming down both sides in front of the front axle. Bridged and boxed in under the front end with ears welded to them for two pins. Those are the pivots for the plow subframe. Lift was done with a hydraulic cylinder mounted above the ears, pushing on a lever sticking out from the front of the tractor. This lever had a snatch block on the end with a cable that goes down to the frame of the plow. Very simple set up with little to go wrong.

Here are some photos of what I'm trying incase anyone has something similar they want to set up
