Got the 2030 Running

I got the new spark plugs in and a new dist rotor. Runs good but still has gas issues, dies after running a few minutes. I can work on that. Nest issue is that the left brake doesn't work at all. Pedal goes all the way down without any resistance. Where do I start on that issue?

Do not know that tractor as such but if it is like the 1020 I am working on I would bet the first thing to do is bleed that brake and see if that helps

Ditto what old stated about bleeding brakes. Bleeder is on top of each final drive housing. One needs to have engine running while performing the bleeding process.

hello, try holding the right pedal down about an inch,, at the same time push the left pedal down,, IF, it will hold up,, then all you have to do is lenghten the pedal stop screws,, but make both pedals even at home position.

There are springs and check balls in the brake cylinder. On occasion a cleanup and replacement is required if the problem is not a failed wheel cylinder.

I talked to the former owner again today and he admitted to more information. He had the tractor split and fixed a hydraulic oil leak. The brake never worked after that. Would have been nice to know before I bought it. He thinks they goofed something us when they had it apart. Why didn't he make them fix it?
