I had previously had Roy Ritter in Missouri work on my injectors and pumps but i understand he has passed away. Who can you recommend to do the same work Roy did-he had the JD test fixture for setting, adjusting and testing pumps and injectors.

I dont think just any diesel injector repair place can fix them properly?

Thanks
Howard

ANY pump shop can do a 2 cylinder pump.. it doesn't get any more basic.. Nothing special about them.
If your looking for a authorized shop.. look for 1 that is an ADS member or is authorized in Bosch, Zexel Denso, Yanmar.. *PFR manufacturers*
But then again, just because they're not an authorized dealer doesn't mean they cant do the pump.. it just means its going to be less expensive.. With the proper guidance, YOU could fix it..

Thanks for the suggestions. I am still chasing the miss i have i had posted here about several weeks back. I was able to replace both filters and bleed the system and its still missing on the right (clutch side) the exhaust manifold on the right side doesnt heat up as fast as the left side does.

I was reading up on the pressure that the transfer pump should be set at and it looks like if there isnt a pressure bleed valve on top of the pump cover that connects back into the bottom of the tank, the pressure should be 24psi, if the bleed valve is present, pressure should be up around 50 psi? my tracto ser #is 7303685 and it has the pressure valve, but the manual says tractors after 732xxx have the valve and need ~50 psi. Maybe mine was retrofitted with the valve at some point?

Any pump shop cannot fix them ! BTDT ! almost got taken to the cleaners back in 1986 from a pump shop over the set from my 720 D.

Just make sure whoever you send them to has done several of those before and has the special test stand to run them on. Each injector has to be matched to it's own pump ! Make sure they come back numbered that way and you install them that way too. I bet some will say whewy to this but it does make a difference and JD's service manual instructs you to do so.

Any pump shop can rebuild them BUT, if they don't have a test stand they cant "CALABRATE" them . Then you are left with a set of UNBALANCED PUMPS and nozzles that are not pumping the same amount of fuel to each Cyl. Anybody that works on any engine knows that's no good .

Has been awhile but the low pressure system was about 25 psi. measured on the no.2 fuel filter . The high pressure was set to 65 psi on no. 2 fuel filter . The 2 cyl. diesels run much better with a high pressure system .

Fahnestock Farm service has done 2- cylinder pump and injector work for me and does good work for reasonable prices. He has the original John Deere test stands and equipment. His # 717-866-7066

Update took a look at it today and no leaking pumps or split lines, pumps working good, pulled out the right hand injector and reconnected it and found two out of the six holes plugged up. Swapped in another injector and runs like a champ.

Thanks for all the help
