2755 question on hydraulic weep

Hopefully someone will chime in after seeing the thread below about the trouble with 2755's.

I have a hydraulic weep that I can't put my finger on. There is a tube that is pointing down on the back of the engine that will drip hydraulic fluid. I have not been able to determine what causes the drip as sometimes it drips and sometimes it doesn't. I have not had time to trace the tube as this is my primary feeding tractor. I guess I am curious where the hose is connected and why it might be dripping. I tried to look in the tech manual but didn't find anything on it.

Thank you for any help

Or possibly the valve cover vent hose...they will slobber a bit and quit now and then,,as the engine gets older more blow by needs to vent out this hose,, nothing to worry about for a while,,just old age showing up..

I don't believe it is the valve cover vent as the oil it drips looks clean like hydraulic oil.

So it sounds more like the drain tube Tx Jim is referring too. I will have to investigate a little more. Didn't know there was such a tube. Thanks guys!

Yes there is a vent return line that comes in over the engine from the front reserve tank and plugs into the right side of the shift cover,,there is no pressure on it..since it's clean looking oil that is probably what it is..
