still having hydraulic problems thought I had it cured [buick deere] had the cure but sincee then I lifted a load to heavey for the loader. It done the job but by the time I got to destination I had no loader ,power steering or shuttle . On day since I loosened a hydraulic fitting and got loader back but lost again in minutes. The transmission light is also on now changed oil , filters, screens, checked loader valve bank, lost

The guys looking at the 2755 and 2955 should talk to you....you can chase your tail for days sorting these out...and a cab amplifies the issue greatly...You must be loosing charge oil pressure due to a worn component or failed trans pump..

I will second TimS in that your losing transmission pressure/flow. You need gauges and knowledge to read them to figure out what is wrong. None of us on here can look at our crystal ball and figure out what is wrong. That Mannheim designed hydraulic system is a tough one to make work right after it messes up. It is not like an old JD two banger or even a JD new generation Waterloo built tractor in being simple to repair.

With the engine running at idle remove the hydraulic oil filler cap and using a flashlight look in toward the front and right of the rockshaft housing for an oil spray or stream. If there is it indicates a leak in the rockshaft valve which is a relatively simple fix. Post back to let us know what you find.
I never liked Rubics cubes but for some reason I enjoy these hydraulic puzzles, must be demented. :)

Place a container under hyd filter then remove hyd filter cover, turn engine over for seconds then measure amt of oil in container. there should be 1 to 1-1/4 gallon of oil in container.

What type valve controls loader(ind or scv)? Cap power steering supply line to determine if power steering valve is leaking internally.

Please Refresh our memories of what brand of loader valves, how they are connected to the tractor etc.
Oil with some water in it will function in warm weather but will clog the transmission filter with frozen slush in the winter.

i going to put my 2 cents in here if you never work on a jd with closed center hyd then you in for a big learning curve i work and a lot them each one is different you dont have to have lot high dollar tools but you better get a manual and hope you have a friend close by or you going to be pulling you hair out and learning lot new words

It is an original loader valve im sure straight pulls no rubbers inside no scrathes or defects I have a mechanic friend looking and examining things when he has time. Oil ahs some minor metal he thinks are off brakes. no water If you remember [buick] one line to the loader run off an scv but I plumbed into main line and had good results all summer.

If loader valve is the convertible type(open to closed center & vice-versa) it's possible for valve to have an internal seal that is blown causing the hyd problem. Remove loader valve return hose from tractor, place open end of return hose in bucket, with loader control levers in neutral start engine& no oil should exit open return hose
