John Deere 730 LP transmission issue

Just purchased a 730LP and I am having a issue with the transmission, it goes into all the gears but it can be a real pain to get it from high to low or low to high. It doesn't like the lower left side of the quadrant, almost like it's stopped dead just before and you really got to give it some muscle to get it to go. It does go into each gear just dosent like going around the corner. Has anyone had this issue before? I can tell you the tractor did sit for a long time but that's all the back info I know.

Sometimes wear in the interlock part of the shift fork does not let the shift pawl release all the way. I was able to get one working better from just working from the top with the cover off and remove part of that shifter and build it up. Not sure if that was the issue I fixed as it's been a long time ago.

Do always be sure the clutch brake is non too tight..
