John Deere A high Crop

Just bought a John Deere A highcrop. It has sheet metal taken off of it but most seams to be there. Back tires bad. engine turns. Looks OK. Does any body want these things? Should I try to sell it for parts? Not really sure what to do with it.

They are still very sought after by JD collectors

Found in a barn. Been there a while. No signs of tampering. All sheet metal taken off but there. Engine turns

I think I misread this. I thought all sheet metal was missing ! LOL.
Well I have yet to find one that if it turns I could not get running with a little work but not too much work. Unless it has some major internal damage and someone started tearing into it before ? I usually start by taking off the top crankcase cover and gearshift tower for a good look around the innards. Easy to get them off of these models.

Jim Mcvay,

if you wanted to sell it and it is a high crop i would sure like to know what you want for it. I have always wanted a wide front A or a high crop. I do agree though, the serial number would have to be verified, but please dont part it out.

Jim,
Your "A" High Crop was shipped on 03-28-1951 to Fort Myers FL. One Digit of the serial number is missing, however, only three tractors with the prefix you include were built serial numbers 673675, 673676 and 673677. Good luck with your project!
