Just replaced the leather cup on the piston and the gasket on the cylinder and the oil seal on the
power take off. Put the cover back on and filled the trans and filled the powertrol with hydraulic
fluid started tractor and engaged power shaft stepped on the pedal for the lift and nothing. Could it
be air locked? What am I missing. Thanks Mark

Can you hear the gear pump churning ? Maybe the woodruff key that drives the gears is gone ? Or if it ever had a optional live hyd. up by the mag. the idler gear may even be gone ?

I found a woodruff key in the parts washer it must have fallen out. Do I have to pull off the whole cover to replace it or can it be replaced by removing the pump body? Thanks for your help, Mark

Did you have the whole pump apart already ? If not it should not of fell out ? But you can pull the pump body off and get to it. I have resealed a few pump bodies that seeped right on the tractor by unbolting them. Oil will need drained out. Tranny too as it will likely leak by shaft once the spring pressure is gone.
