That is a very nice 420 crawler looks like a low hour machine to me that is a great find. I was wondering about the blade because I had never seen one like it but then I seen you said it was made over there looks like a nice set up I have a couple of mc's with the 1000 tool bar and have 6 pieces of equipment to go along with it it has been fun collecting them but they have come from all over the US thanks for sharing the pictures

A former JD dealer who also collects told me he has researched and found that these blades were built in Australia
He has a later 420C with this blade --and a 40C with the 1000 tool bar - so some 1000's made it here as well---

There is 2741 hours on the clock style tachometer - but the man I purchased the crawler from had converted it to 12 volt -- disconnected the wiring harness from the coil -installed a 12 volt coil and a jumper wire with a on off switch - not sure how many hours he used it like that but I would say not very many - it was on a farm and he only used it for building surface drainage trenches -- very little use
