Question regarding 435 diesel TOM rockshaft seals

Hi all,
Looking to put new seals in for the rockshaft. Where I am confused is that I have serial # 436xxx which shows oil seals with retainer AM3433T and AM3432T. But what I took apart has seals held in by retainers. In other words two separate parts, not the usual self contained seal as one unit. According to the parts book I have what appears to be a late model Rockshaft housing.

Can anyone shed some light on the subject, or have pics of the seals from either one version or the other?

Thanks

The late 330, late 430, late 435, late 440 and all 1010's had the rockshaft housing machined to fit a bushing instead of the previous shaft directly on cast design. Seals were changed and updated at the same time to fit the new configuration.
It's anybody's guess what parts somebody may have previously mixed and matched .

I double checked last night and the housing has bushings in it. So would it be a safe bet to assume that it has been updated the the late standard?

Thanks

I can't recall off the top of my head when the factory started to machine the rockshaft housing for bushings but your's probably was. Did somebody try to jam early seals in there?
Round muffler on your 435 or the optional JD factory oval muffler ? Highly recommended.

Serial break for bushings and seals started at 437xxx, Mine is 436xxx so too early according to book, but defiantly has bushings and two part seals.
