3020 power shift ailement

its not mine but we had to jump start it today.was about 45 degrees.it started fine but about 20 seconds it started moving foreward.it wwas in park.last time i drive it,i had a bit of problem going from reverse to foreward.im wondering if its trouble is linkage? ita a late engine pencil injectors but hydraulic controls on dash.not sure on exact year but id guess 64 or 65.

Sounds like the Park cable is bad and not getting it clear into Park position, when they are cold they will want to coast when Park is not holding. There is a spring on the lever back along the right side,, check it out too..

My 4020 did the same thing. Pull the dash cowl off and on the side you will see the park pawl. Pull that off where it connects and adjust the yoke and try that. It worked for me!
