John Deere 530

Just bought a john deere 530. Has been sitting for a little while. Did it come from factory as a 6 volt or 12 volt? It is original but I have two different manuals and they are conflicting. I need to buy a battery for it.

12 volt positive ground.

Two 6-volts in series like the letter series? Don't know for sure, just axin.

Take a look at the diagram below.

Note that your tractor came with two 6 volt batteries connected in tandem with a POSITIVE ground.

Agree with [b:654c4848f0]Tx Jim[/b:654c4848f0] that a 12 volt battery will also work on your tractor.

Those IT manuals contain just enough info to lure a person into trouble.

Two six volts,but 1 12 volt will work.
