posted earlier last week about my carb,, tried all suggestions,,, still woundering, do/should i turn in both adj screws all the way in and then back out , or is there a certain amount to turn out before adj'n/starting engine? tx bob

My e-mail is open. If you want it "right", I will send you detailed step by step of the only RIGHT way do do it. It's too detailed to write again on here without writing a book. Operator manual doesn't detail the correct way either. Just hit my "send e-mail" box in lower right of this box.
 
FYI on those model tractors cover BOTH stacks when sitting out in the rain.

For a starting point on the carb. needles. lightly seat them both and turn the idle (one closest to you on the left side of tractor) out 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 turn. Turn the load needle (one farthest from you ) out about 1 turn. This should get it running and then farther adjustment will be needed.
