John Deere quick hitch

Did John Deere make a factory quick hitch for the 3020-4020 tractors when they were new, if so is there a casting number or something to identify them by to be the correct one?

I remember a fast hitch on a 4020 a neighbor bought new in 1969. The tractor came with the fast hitch on it. If I remember right it was a Deere brand hitch but I don't know if Deere made it.

Yes, John Deere made one for the 4010 when they came out with the F145H semi-mount plow or just before. I'll have to check some of my sales info, but maybe even with the introduction of the 10 series.

I think the lever style hitches came out when the 20 series were introduced. Hitches prior to those had the ball grips and not as easy to operate.

This is the hitch used on 2520-4020. It matches up nicely to 2520s and 3020s The book says it is the "light duty" quick hitch option for the 4020 but I feel it is a bit too puny for a 4020.

Here's a pic of the "heavy" 4020 hitch as it's called. These work great on 4020s and 4320s but somewhat overkill on a 3020 or 2520.

I'm a bit of a hoarder when it comes to quick hitches, etc.

Thanks for replies, I located one and was sure it was older because it had the pull up levers with round knobs. I wanted one for my 72 3020 but
want it to be correct for tractor also.
