Did the JD 40 have live pto and if so, what was the first serial number that had it?

I think it started with the 420 models. And even then it was an option that very few have.

Never ever. Part way through yellow stripe straight steer 420's with an optional 5 speed had an optional live Pto. Slant steer 420's had an upgraded transmission
