john deere 318 snow plow problem

when I installed the 54''snow plow to the tractor, after raising it up all the way it broke the
Hydraulic fitting on the top hose, I think it coming up to far. and it does the same thing when turning it all the way on a angle breaks the fitting off the hose. can it be limited to how far it can come up and turn ?

Common problem with them. You need to put an elbow going into the cylinder to give the hose proper clearance.
