John Deere 630 pictures.

Here are some pics of the 630 that I picked up recently. Tinwork is just pretty much sitting on it. I believe the 3 point to be aftermarket. Filled the engine with diesel as it is stuck. I have the gas tank and all pieces. Needs new steering wheel as it was damaged same time as seat bent. Opinions comments and criticisms welcome. Love old tractors.

I use a 50/50 mix of ATF and acetone. Pull the valve cover and make sure the valves aren't stuck. Don't ask me how I know this can cause you more problems.
Nice looking tractor, although I am more partial to the 20 series. I have a 520, 620, and 720D.
 
I like your 630. No - that is not the original JD three point hitch, but it looks like it will work.
 
Wonder why they would have an aftermarket three point on there? Obviously the rock shaft and all the controls are original. Seems odd.
 
No criticisms here. You got some work to do...hope you are on the young side. I'm dealing on one right now with wide front and 4020 style fenders. It's all original and one owner , sold by a dealer only half hour away. I love the "last" 2 cyl style too. Hope it loosens up for ya. Keep us posted.
 
I hear that the three point components will sell pretty high. Locally here in Southern Illinois, there was a 520 or 530 that was for sale, and all of those parts were missing from it.
 
I had and still do have a 720LP that was stuck BIG TIME, I had to pull the block out with the piston had to remove the insert caps from the crank, getting to the bolt on the crank was a bugger. Do not try to free the engine up by pulling it with truck or tractor you can damage rods. Good Luck. My 2 Pennies.
