PTO shaft snap ring 4020/4430 etc

Did anyone ever make a tool to positively fit that snap ring while changing PTO shafts or even a different snap ring design that was handier

R28221 from a JD2940? Not 100% sure it would be same diameter, but the design from the European tractors is easy to snap on and off.

I use those 10 inch needle nose Vise-Grips and find the flat spot on the shaft.....Ron

I always just used a pair of slip-joint pliers to R&R pto snap ring. Snap ring is easy to R&R if flat spot on pto shaft is aligned with ends of snap-ring
