Gas fuel filter for pont motor

I am have a lot of problems with fine dirt getting in my 720 pony motor carb and gumming up the jets, and I was wondering if anyone knows a place where I can get a small sediment bowl like the one they used on the later 720's that fits under the gas tank on the door. Also, if you know of another type of filter that would work, I an open to that also?

The parts catalog shows a sediment bowl for starting at serial number 7214900.

A plastic in-line gas filter screen for a Briggs should work, if you don't want to make major changes.

The DEERE part, AF6878R shows as NLA.

If you want a small sediment bowl GOOGLE "Briggs sediment bowl" for all sorts of sources.

I had the same issue.

I used a sediment bowl off of an older garden tractor. It's much better then Deere's bowl from the 720/730, simply because you can actually shut it off!

I got mine from Hapco Parts. Works good.

Is it fine dirt or rust? I put a small magnet in the sediment bowl of some of my old tractors, will draw rust right to them.
