Want to purchase 720lp electronic point kit

Who sell electronic ignition kit for JD 720LP? I have not gone out looking for them at the present time. Called Steiner and they do not carry them.
 
Try CBS at cbspeerformance.com They have an ad in Green magazine. There toll-free number is 800-685-1492. Just saw their ad in this months GM as I am contemplating electronic ignition for my JD AR.

An ordinary Napa coil is more than enough. It's a two cylinder turning a whole screaming 1250 rpm. Not a super charged V8 turning 6500rpm.
 
I do not understand the super coils, or the rationale to buy coil with kit.

The pertronix is just electronic set of points, coil will not need to be changed.
 
The reason to get the coil with the kit is that if you use a coil with the wrong resistance with the pertronix unit it will let the magic smoke out of said pertronix unit.
 

Then just use your ohm meter and verify that it's 3.0 to 4.0 ohm 12Volt coil.
Besides the chrome or finned over size coils look stupid on a two cylinder.
 
That is not true, the resistance of the coil determines the current through the pertronix, just measure it.
 

I just used the original coil that was on the tractor at the time. It ran before with that coil, so it should run with the same coil and the Pertronics kit. I have three that way. 530, 630 and 730LP.
