3020 Diesel

Had the injector pump rebuilt and now when the tractor starts it makes a low grumbling noise for a second or two then starts sounding normal. Is there a timing issue? It really has a different bark to it since the rebuild. Sounds more powerful.

They will really cackle if you advance the pump.

Did you time it when installing?

I marked it and put it back at the same place.

Did you check the pump mark against the one on the flywheel?

Please do that and post back.

Yes, I had the marks lined up when I took it off.

Starter drive hanging up??....miss matched starter?? the gas and diesels have a different gear...just loose thoughts...

Starter is fine. It is running, but just doesn't take off immediately like it did before. It works good, just never did the slow, like now power for a second or two, thing before.
