Update on Deere 329 no start hot

First thanks to everyone who posted a reply. We did the following things. Pulled the injecters and checked. They were all perfect and popped at 3200psi. On the the advice of a friend with a shop we reset the pressure to 2700psi. I rechecked valve adjustment and found one exhaust valve a little to tight and tighten one or two others just a little. I also installed a new Irska (sp?) gear reduction starter. That little starter really spins it over fast. I also got a new electic fuel shut off for the pump but did not take time to put it in yesterday. It now starts when hot. Not quite like I think it should but I am no longer afraid to shut it off and restart it. I may still advance the injection pump a little. Thanks for the help. Tom

Those little starters do a lot, don't they? They can really crank compared to the older ones.

When I got it I thought how can this little thing be better than the delco that was on it. Was I ever wrong that little starter turns it over really fast. If I ever run out of fuel with a good battery you could almost drive it to the buildings.LOL Tom
