Opinions on unstyled B value

I'd like to purchase a 1938 B, and came across this one. It has new Firestone tires, recent paint (looks to be the newer JD green), and reportedly starts and runs good. The hood looks to be dented on the side and there are no decals. I'm not sure what kind of prices these unstyled tractors are commanding these days, so what do you all think?

So how much are they asking ? There are several in the photo ads now that don't seem to decent priced. The tires are likely worth as much as the tractor. Drawbar frame looks homemade. Wonder if the bolt holes in the bottom are still good to fasten an original drawbar frame on ?

Looks like it has re-pop steering wheel and correct rims and both guages. If it runs good and half way quiet gears, I would say $ 2200- $2500 around here.

He wants $3000, not worth it. There's a '36 "A" on YT also with new rears and original look with some rebuilds for $ 2400. Offer him $ 2200 and forget the "B". The "A" sounds so much better.

Even if it does run out good it has some cobbling. As mentioned the draw bar.

Also i cold not keep one like that around without a complete repaint. Painting over dents always raises a flag with me. Personally, I would not be enthused

Asking $3500, which I thought is high. The wrong color paint over dents bothers me as well. The homemade hitch makes me think the original drawbar mount must be damaged. I'm considering going to look it over, but I would want to offer significantly less than asking price.

Someone mentioned that it had the correct rims. Were cast rear centers correct on that year and model? Just wondering.

Kinda steep I think. The radiator shutters are missing. The bolt holes to hold the correct
draw-bar frame on may be stripped or or broken out. Take a careful look at the bottom of
the rear axle housing.

Yes, take a look at the diagram below.

Note the rear cast wheel (Key 5).

Hope this helps.
