Plowed Tuesday with my 520 an #44H plow set up. Tractor has a wide front on it and I have to bring it in about two inches. Don't know how tight it is yet I'm a little apprehensive to find out. Done a nice job though. Little 520 handled it really well. Was plowing in red clay, Had to off hitch about eight inches, which is the max for the plow but pulled alright. I'm still going to move the rear wheel in another inch. I haven't plowed with an out fit like that since 1962, that was my own. Kind of wished it was 1962 again. Good day, Good time!

When moving wheels, front or back, both should be moved to achieve the correct spacing from the center line. Just went through this with my tractor and new to me mounted 3-16 plow. Could not get things set right until I saw the book for the plow said tractor needed to have 57 inches between wheels, I only had 54. Really made a difference when I got it set up right.

If you need to move the front wheels and that wide front has not been moved in a while, good luck. You can also reverse the front wheels to get the desired spacing if you only need a few inches.

thanks, I know about the wheel width. I have my rear wheels set at 31" centers for spraying corn and soybeans. If I bring my furrow wheel on the tractor in one inch it will give the furrow wheel on the plow a hair more leeway between the furrow wall. A two bottom plow likes the tractor wheel set at seventeen inches. The rear wheel is almost touching the belt pulley cover. Good luck on adjusting the clutch after. So I'm trying to get by with twenty-two inches. That leaves me two to three inches between tire and pulley cover. I have 13.9 wide tires on the 520 so that makes me just a much tighter space to deal with. On my mounted plows you can cheat a little more with the landing lever. Its much harder with the semi mounts, they seem to be touchier to deal with.
