I recently purchased a gas fueled 1973 or 4 2030 and haven't been able to convince it to run for more than 2-3 minutes at one time since I brought it home. It will
start right up and then shuts down after a couple minutes. wait a bit and the same thing again. No sputters just shuts off. I thought maybe it was the circuit
breaker opening so I wired around it and it made no difference. Suggestions ? Experiences ? Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

Have you changed your fuel filter?

Agree with Handyman, start with fuel filter if you haven't already.

Is fuel cap venting? Check for good flow from tank to carburetor. Possible faulty lift pump.

I should have stated that I've installed a new fuel pump, filter, condenser, coil, and gaped the points. I firmly believe it's an electrical problem because I've
probably had it started 30+ times and it just shuts off. Not a sputter. Just like to ignition was turned off after running fine up to that point. I also thought
wiring around the circuit breaker would indicate the problem if it was a short somewhere.

I would suspect the ignition switch....hot wire it and see if that eliminates the problem.Ben
