JD-850 Live PTO Clutch Alignment Tool

I have looked everywhere I can, asked those who should know, but don't and no I ask based on an assumption.
The JD850 and JD950 have the same live clutch, this shows it fits a JD950, so my assumption...
 
or one clutch has 13 splines and the other 19?

I have looked everywhere, and so far found nothing to verify the count. I am pulling the clutches and will count soon. Just hoping someone knew. I do not like to guess and spend money.
 
The tool seems to be for the later SN tractors that have live PTO. I believe the earlier SN tractors did not have live PTO. However, whither live PTO version or the earlier version, the clutches in both the 850 and 950 tractors have the same service part numbers from what I see on the JD parts web site.
 
Single clutch shouldn't be difficult to line up and probably could be done without a tool by sight or pipe. It is the two stage models that present difficulty....
