I am needing to remove a crankshaft pulley on a JD 4010 LP. I have everything out of the way (radiator, etc.). Looking at at the parts manual, I do not see a snap ring holding the pulley on but it appears that there is one there.

1. Is there a snap ring in front of the pulley behind the bolt/washer holding it on?
2. Any clues on how to get it off the crankshaft while in the tractor?
3. To make a long story short, I have a broken bolt in the pulley, so it needs to come out.

Thanks,

Do a search for a t bar puller like a OTC 7393. You need one with a short puller bolt, but also you will need to get the broken bolt out first to use. It is a solid pulley not a rubber impregnated one. Then use a piece of threaded rod that threads into crank and use a nut and the washer to pull the dampner back on.
