4320 Hydraulic Noise Under Dash

I have been trying to figure this noise out under the dash of my 4320. I bought it in May and it has 6200 hours on it. When I start it, it starts up fine, it will have a noise under the dash like lack of oil in the lines. The noise somewhat goes away with higher RPM's but I have never lost any hydraulic function, the steering always works as well as the remotes and three point. I checked the pressure at the remotes and it is right at 2000 psi. I have been researching it and I think the pressure is supposed to be higher like 2250 maybe? I have changed the hydraulic filter and cleaned the screen which was not dirty. The only thing I did do was to change the hydraulic pump connector bushings, the rubber ones up front because the old ones were shot, but I was reading a post last nite that said about timing the hydraulic pump and was wondering if thats what it could be but the details on timing it were unclear. Anyboby heard of this or know where I should start checking the get rid of this noise?

NO! the hyd. pump doesn't need to be timed. It's an 8 cylinder pump so the load, pulses are the same regardless where the pump shaft is . I think you have hyd. oil pulsing because of a pump problem intake valve or pressure valve not seating. This makes the pressure control valve pulse back and forth .There is an accumulator under the dash that's filled with nitrogen to supply the brakes in an emergency . It also acts as a muffler, somewhat .

Do some "Touchy-Feelly" till you pin point what is making the noise to start with..I had an 820 (3cyl) in here last week that made an awful noise as it started up, the guy said it had been doing that for a long time, turned out the oil pressure line was vibrating on the right floor board, a clamp had been left off some where along the line..

I agree with TIm... I'd start with the hood off and see if you can locate anything vibrating. I've been down the loose clamp road, too!
